2024年2月美國個人消費支出物價指數（PCE）月增0.3%，幅度低於1月上修的0.4%，亦小於估值0.4%。 服務價格上漲0.3%，商品價格上升0.5%。 年成長率從 2.4% 微升至 2.5%，是 2021 年 2 月以來的最低水準。 

同時，核心PCE通膨月率（排除食品和能源），聯準會偏好之通膨指標，從1月上調的0.5% 放緩至0.3%，與預期相符。 

其中，食品價格上漲0.1%，能源價格飆漲2.3%。 最後，核心PCE通膨年率從 2.9% 緩降至 2.8%，為約三年來的最低水準。

聯準會主席鮑威爾在舊金山聯邦儲備銀行發表演說時表示，2月的PCE通膨數據符合聯準會期待，是一個積極正面的進展。 最近的數據可能達不到去年的表現，但這並不會迫使聯準會急於降息。 耐心是關鍵，因聯準會更願意等待確定性再行動。 鮑威爾主席闡述，雖然通膨下滑是預估主要情景的一部分，但如果這種情況不能實現，那麼長期維持利率水準的意願也將擺在桌上。
