企業財報在市場中添加催化劑。 聯合健康集團(UNH.US)繳出超預期成績單，股價暴漲6.5%，進一步推升道瓊。 美國銀行(BAC.US)因強勁的獲利和營收上漲5.35%，而摩根士丹利(MS.US)股價跟漲0.91%，得益優於華爾街預測的交易和投資銀行業務。 相比之下，嘉信理財(SCHW.US)重挫10.18%，原因是銀行存款減少17%至2524億美元，另外淨利息收入下滑6%。
