銀市場は、旺盛な投資と工業用の需要に牽引され、好調に推移している。銀価格は2013年1月以来の高水準となる1オンス30ドルを超え、今年に入ってから25％超上昇した。銀ETFの流通市場があまり機能していないものの、年初に銀が比較的割安であったことから、現物の販売が増加している。 

金銀比価は1月に90を超え、2022年9月以来の最大価格差となった。その後、比価は80前後まで低下した。FRBが利下げに踏み切り、米国経済が底堅く推移すれば、金と銀の価格さはさらに低下して70前後になると予想される。 

FRBの利下げ観測は、前日の米インフレ統計と月例雇用統計で強まった。しかし、この観測は輸出入物価の上昇や中央銀行長官のタカ派的な発言によって一部相殺された。 

一方、銀は引き続き太陽光パネルの利用から恩恵を受けており、同産業は今年記録的な水準に達すると予想されている。太陽電池産業からの需要が回復すれば、銀は4年連続で需給ギャップが生じる可能性がある。
